  1. Sure looks a lot like my dh when I had it on both elbows. Make sure you get it biopsied correctly with the skin next to a lesion. If you are dx with dh it does mean you have celiac. It took my duh about 6 months to go away after I went gluten-free.
  2. I can tell you that having to walk thru a room of cookies and cakes to go to the bathroom was very difficult for me 10 years ago. I was in tears daily. But no one actively offered them to me nor were they sabotaging my food like they did with Ennis. It's hard enough these days watching the kids at school eat their gluten filled lunches. You'd think I'd be...
  3. Thanks for letting me know. My town is super liberal and luckily I don't get any of that here. I'd be very angry. I work in a town that is different, so I don't bring it up at all.
  4. The comments on this are insane. I had no idea there was so much animosity towards gluten-free people.
  5. I have never worried about the regular oven ( for the last 10 years) but if it makes you feel better, cover in foil.
  6. Also see this: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/29102613# Wonder if this will help self diagnosed people decide if they are celiac or not?
  7. Unless you have specific allergies or dietary issues, I don't think you need to avoid regular eggs or butter.
  8. We use gluten-free breadcrumbs or rice flour. Tried gluten-free panko and it was way too hard on my teeth!
  9. At the top right, under the social media links, there is a link to unread content. That's my go to place to be.
  10. Just an FYI, when I first was gluten-free, even too much of a gluten-free product, like cookies, would cause the itch to come back. So be very careful to not eat too much of those certified gluten-free foods, as those 20 ppm add up! That was about 10 years ago for me, these days I don't have any itch or dh is I get CC'd or glutened.
  11. I saw their non gluten-free xmas foods out, like stollen. Looked so good, made me sad.
  12. Weight bearing exercise - which you seem to do already - is supposed to help as well.
  13. I completely understand your train of thought. It is amazing to see a promotion on a gluten-free food item. Go Nestle! Although I do much prefer LOTR to Star Wars, as I grew up reading the books. my parents never let me go to the movies. Every kid in 4th grade went to go see Star Wars...... except for me. Rather isolating experience.
  14. I always use whole spices and grind them myself for the freshest taste anyway. Did this before gluten-free too
  15. actually, it doesn't. Your doctor does not know what they are talking about. Find another doctor who will test you. After you have had gluten daily for at least 12 weeks. *Meant to quote OP, not gluten-free 01
  16. It probably won't change either way the blood work goes. The endo is the gold standard of celiac dx. Do you have any symptoms? And welcome! We are a great group of people, albeit a bit slow on weekends. Feel free to ask away, and post your test results if you need help
  17. He had the same complaints..... but thought it was kidney stones and tried to just live with it. You were much smarter.
