It's also a hereditairy auto-immune and my mom has it.
If you have the book "Celiac Disease A Hidden Epidemic" there is a chapter in the book about it.

I forgot. Get the kid on tater tots! They are great! I'm all about the tater tots and cold cuts.

If you have a whole foods near you they have their own brand of bread and I can't get enough of it!!!! They have different flavors too! Otherwise just order stuff online. It is a pain, and expensive but I personally think it's worth it (if you aren't near a whole foods). Personally, I LIVE for whole foods! I have tried the Annes gluten-free mac and cheese and it taste like card board, i almost barfed it up!

or buy the gluten-free brick bread and chuck it at them! It will knock them out cold!

AHHH i can't wait to try the cinnamon one!!! I think i'll have time this weekend and will let you know how it is!!! THANK YOU EVERYONE!!! YOU MADE MY NIGHT!

Do the entire house gluten-free. My best friend had a dairy allergy and I'm gluten-free and we are a dairy free/gluten-free house. i have a GREAT recipe for chocolate cupcake/brownie thingys. They sound like a pain but they really aren't and are GREAT!
1 1/3 cup chocolate chips (i think semisweet is the way to go)
3/4 cup unsalted butter cut into pieces
6 large eggs, seperated
1/2 cup sugar divided
2 tps vanilla extract
and whipped cream if wanted
heat over to 350. line your muffin tin and pam the liners to all heck!
stir chocolate and butter in heavy sauce pan over low heat until smooth. remove from heat and cool to luke warm.
In a large bowl with electric mixer on high mix egg jolks and 1/4 cup sugar until very thick and pale for about 3 min. Fold in chocolate mixture and vanilla. Using clean, dry beaters beat egg whites and remaining 1/4 cup sugar until stiff but not dry, about 2 min. Fold egg white mix into chocolate mix until combined. bake for 28-30 min.
serve with whipped cream...but they are fine without it too!
Also you can fill up the muffin holders cause they rise and then fall and are sort of hollow. I LOVE THEM! Enjoy!

DUDE!!! I get the same sort of thing but one that really pissed me off way at my mans company BBQ. His boss was doing corn on the grill and I said "hey dude what brand of butter do you use?" and he said "what?! Butter? Are you kidding me?!" and I said like a hard @ss "nope. what brand?" and he said "it's butter, get over it!" and my man goes "dude, she has food allergies" and he just huffed and I looked at him up and down and say "EW" (like a typical california valley girl and I totally can cause i was born and raised there!) and walked off. I didn't have my corn but I heard via my man that I go voted "coolest girl friend there" cause I "ew-ed" his boss! not to mention there was nothing there for me to eat but the smoked sausage we brought....and wine, LOTS of wine!

If I lived in NYC - lucky you! - I'd see Dr. Leo Galland, Dr. Ronald Greenberg or Dr. Ronald Hoffman. These are three OUTSTANDING docs. At one time, I even considered flying in to see Galland, but I was too sick to make the trip. I can give you more info, if you'd like.
Please do give more info! i'm doctor stupid...well, clearly cause i pick winners! lol but yes, more info babe!

Anyone with me?!
Also Can people post if they have a great doctor and where they are located please?! i need one for the NYC area...any in Astoria?!

melrobsings- both of your jobs sound so exciting. Have you been in anything that we may have seen? Plays, TV?
Wow, i have been all over the US doing regional theatre, mostly in CA, FL, SC, NYC and PA. I worked on Holland America Cruise Line for 3 years as lead singer ALL OVER the world. Worked at Disneyland years ago as a Christmas Caroler...Done some TV stuff but nothing to really write home about. Doing a show at the end of Aug in NYC...lol have you seen me? I'm normally in a wig...

I took that powder crap with ginger ale rather then water and HOLY CRAP it totally helped! i only barfed once and that was from the jello that didn't agree with me AND that was BEFORE i even started the drinking stuff! So try the ginger ale...and I didn't fill it to the "fill line" I did it about an inch below so i didn't have to drink as much...it worked, they said i was totally cleaN!
So everyone in the NYC area I REALLY need a recommendation for a GI doc. This is just bull poop! The first one didn't call me back for over a month! I had to leave mean messages to get them to call me back, now this guy is nice and on it but he sat there and told me that I don't have Celiac. Fine and dandy I may not have "Celiac" but I can tell you I have a "Gluten Allergy of some kind". He said if no one in my family has it there is no way i have it. I told him my mom, 2 aunts, grandma and brother ALL have auto-immunes, he said but celiac is a kind on it's own and I said "not from what I have read and EVERYONE has a DIFFERENT auto-immune!" He said, then get the blood test and I said I have been gluten-free for over 2 years it came back negative! He said do the Gluten challenge and i said HELL NO! I'M NUT GUNNA BE SICK AS A DOG FOR 6 WEEKS!...AND to top it off I showed him my rash and I SWEAR it's DH and you know what he said?!?!!? "OH well all those rashes look the same!" and I said "really?! cause I have always been told, well it's not hives but it sort of is hives.... and nothing helps!"
He also said all the bleeding I had couldn't have come from what he thought it was coming from but he thinks he fixed it so if I have more bleeding I have to come back for surgery.....WTF?!?!?!
My mom said screw him and find ANOTHER NEW ONE!
Any ideas or thoughts of what I should do and where to go?! I'm so sick of this!
On a good note I only tossed my cookies once after I woke up and that way great! Normally i toss them for days! And i feel great today!
So please HELP!

i get major gas around my period, i'm like an old lady that farts when she goes up stairs! lol but i have tried just about everything too and nothing works.

I'm a full time actor and a full time psychic. I had to take a few months off from acting due to health issues though, I'm getting back in ASAP. I LOVE both jobs, acting more though...but not by much. My goal with psychic-ing is to work for the police, i have a great client base and hope to add NYPD on there! Acting has been my main income all my life, I am a member of 2 unions and have my insurance through there, this break has been rough but i'll be back soon!!!! Let me also say i'm a proud college drop out and don't ever want kids, you can call it "too self absorbed", in my case it is really call it "i don't want or like kids" I never have and see no reason (not one) to have them.
-
thank you so much for the support and ideas!
Sadly I didn't even ask what kind of scope I just asked "do I have to drink that crap again!?"
I also get a bad case of projectile vomit with the drugs they give me.....it's awesome!
-
I'm bleeding 2 colors of blood and my tummy feels like it's always moving, not to mention as we all know, I can't get regular on the BM train to save my life...

Hey guys I'm back, so i talked to my mom....she was a wedding planner for about 10 years and was VERY good at it cause she is so bossy! lol She did my wedding and it was the most amazing wedding in the world and it was CHEAP (for what we got).
But my moms # 1 rule of thumb about weddings is:
Remember that you have to live with the other family for the rest of your life, yes it's YOUR wedding BUT if your MIL wants to look like a prom queen and you think it will be an issue if you said "tone it down" then let her be a prom queen. People get crazy around wedding and hold that one day grudge for the rest of their lives.
No matter what, have a great wedding.
As for the cost I couldn't tell ya, I paid for 90% of my wedding cause I wanted to...it's a control thing!

I HAD NO IDEA!!!! Thats why I got SICK when I was a kid....bastards! They should advertise that!!!
I do remember right after I got my first car (I didn't know about Celiac at this point) my friends and I were in the drive through and we saw the delivery truck. The back door was open and there were a ton of boxes that said "Grade D beef, mostly edible".....we all ordered chicken and never returned to any taco bell. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?!?!?
-
I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm going to an fertility doctor and he said with Celiacs it's scary and we can be up to 40% infertile. I see you don't live in NYC, but if you are ever in the area I'm more then happy to give you his number, he's WONDERFUL!!! I wish you all the luck and health in the world!

Every time I ate I would be doubled up in pain and spend HOURS in the bathroom. Sometimes I would be in so much pain i would see black spots and would put myself to bed and wake up a few hours later covered in hives, not to mention i would be in a horrid mood and refuse to speak. I bloat like you can't believe and get very spacey and can't focus as well.
-
I think the true test will be putting him on the diet. Just stop doubting yourself, breath and eat gluten-free. If he gets better great, if not, try something else....easy peasy! (not really with gluten-free food but yall know what i mean)

I'm bi-polar and going gluten-free did nothing for me. I have found one drug that works BRILLIANTLY for me and I have found meditating helps a LOT.
Have you looked into reiki, acupuncture or any other eastern medicines? I have done reiki for mental health and pain management and I found a VAST difference!! I would still be doing it but insurance doesn't cover it so costs add up.
