  1. Try this https://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/ You can look up the specific pill you receive or that they plan to give you. It may yield more info.
  2. I just bought an Udis lasagna from Target. Never seen it before, thought it was new.
  3. Thank you. I'll try them. If they keep me awake, I'll find a room to paint, lol!
  4. FODMAPS are short chain carbs that are resistant to digestion. Not all sugars fall into that category. Heres a summary of FODMAPs, allowed foods, foods to avoid. https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/fodmaps-101
  5. Or a dr. My GI dr looked at the list of what bothered me and what I tolerated, and suggested I try low FODMAP.
  6. You mention fruits. Look up FODMAPS. Kate Scarlata has a nice shopping list and recipes. FODMAP Everyday in Facebook has recipes and info. Certain carbs in many foods aren't easily digested. It took me nearly 2 years to get back to normal after a bout with dairy / FODMAP intolerance. It could be the foods you switched to are foods that aren't easily digestible...
  7. I find vitamin D will prevent sleep at night, but may make me sleepy or foggy in the day. I have read that calcium acts as a stimulant. Watch out for dyes in any foods you eat or meds you take. Blue dye makes me hyper. I would guess some flavorings or other additives in food may do the same. Avoid sugars and chocolate, if you aren't already...
  8. James, thank you for the Iron Vegan recommendation. I may try their Sprouted Protein. Ennis, what is the sunflower protein one you mentioned? I seek out gluten-free, low fodmap, recently tried Whey Factors. It is gluten-free and met low FODMAP criteria, but is dairy based.
  9. I used Barilla for a long time, then developed a sensitivity to corn (likely from favoring too many corn-based products). I agree that GI reactions tend to be similar. I would consider a new sensitivity to corn, possibly due to the volume of corn flour in one serving of Barilla.
  10. When I was first diagnosed, my Dr. said same line foods were not OK.
  11. Gee, this sounds like gas. I was coming off a very slow 1.5 year recovery from overdoing coffee, chocolate, dairy. It snowballed and I was quite sick with reflux, stomach bloating, LUQ pain, and could eat very little. I've been adding foods since spring with good results, but overdid it during the holidays. I now have bloating and gas pains that appear...
  12. I recently read an article that said it can take 18 to 24 months for a Celiac gut to heal. I'm much better, but still healing, from some non gluten dietary indiscretions (dairy, sugar, peanuts, chocolate) in May 2017. We are all different, so what works for one may not work for the next. The diary that Ennis mentioned is the best starting place. It...
  13. You mention you have a very short list of tolerable foods. What are they? This may be the key. Your best bet is to stick to those foods. I know firsthand that eating virtually the same foods for breakfast, lunch, and dinner is maddening, but it does work.
  14. I went through something similar last year and am still recovering. I recently read that it takes 18 to 24 months for a celiac gut to regenerate, vs. a few days to a few weeks for a normal gut. I'll have to find the link and post it. This might explain how long it can take. I found that homemade soup was horrible. I could not digest the collagen...
  15. You might look up POTS disease. Have recently heard of many Celiacs developing this. https://www.google.com/search?q=pots+and+celiac&oq=pots+and+ce&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j0l3.4749j0j7&client=ms-android-verizon&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8
  16. It seems that there's a lot of possibilities. It can be overwhelming to sort through them. My two cents is to scale your eating back to only those foods that you KNOW you tolerate. For me, it was salmon, tuna, olive oil based mayo, cooked carrots, cooked green beans, and rice. Stick with whatever your tolerated foods are for 1-2 weeks, so that your...
  17. You mention bananas and nuts. Have you tried a low FODMAP diet? Look up Kate Scarlata's website and Karen Frazier for good overviews, food lists, and recipes.
  18. This is a good resource if you want to learn more about lectins. It's a recent book, may be available at a library. It has lists of foods to avoid and to eat. Open Original Shared Link
  19. Don't forget it's not about the food. It's about being with your people. We've had good luck with Kroger's gluten-free turkey dinner from the deli area, if you don't care to cook. I didn't care for their sides, but the turkey was good. We now save turkey for Christmas and have brisket for Thanksgiving. A good BBQ place will offer it gluten-free...
  20. Did a dermatologist AND an allergist do allergy testing? Derm tests for specific skin allergies. If your skin is coming in contact with substances that you are allergic to, you can get reactions that get the catch-all eczema label. Same goes for allergies to dust, etc. that you may come in contact with. Years ago I would get deep itchy red areas...
  21. Hi justsayno, I had GERD for a couple years, leading up to my celiac diagnosis. I had no other symptoms other than low Vit D and anemia. After starting the gluten-free diet, it took about 8 months or so for GERD to resolve. I had no problems with GERD until this April (about 4-5 years later). I had been eating very healthy, but in April started...
  22. Hi Cristiana, Doing any better? I am finally on my way. My GI told me to add low FODMAP to my plan. I was already gluten-free, DF, CF, and on an acid reflux diet. I had a bad day a week ago, and made some low FODMAP chicken soup. I ate only that, Udi's white sandwich bread, rice crackers, and a little almond butter (thanks Ennis for that tip...
  23. Hi Ennis, I can't do nuts and seeds right now. Only soft stuff. Not sure what a coconut wrap is, but if it's soft it might work. Is this something you make or buy? How much marshmallow is in your capsules, and how much do you use at once? My bag of root powder arrived today. I am doing a ton better today, stuck with very small...
  24. Thank you again, Ennis. I tried salmon with spaghetti squash, and a few peas and carrots, and it did digest better. However, now I'm hungry! I recall feeling this way on the Suzanne Somers diet years ago. Everything digested quickly, I was always energetic, always had that "light" feeling, but had to keep eating. I will continue to try it this week...
