  1. I gave them to a friend, so luckily nothing wasted! Unfortunately, for myself and many others right now, a dollar is the difference between whether or not I get a meal. Glad you don't have to worry about that, though!
  2. Thanks for your input! Opting out just to be safe.
  3. I just purchased a few cups from a dollar store, and unfortunately I didn’t realize until I got home that they are made out of wheat fiber! I hate to waste the money and toss them if they’re safe to use.... Does anybody have any experience with wheat fiber dishware and contamination? Thanks!
  4. Hi all! Does anybody have any experience with the generic Food Lion brand of Beef Broth? It has "natural ingredients" listed, and it doesn't seem to be labeled gluten-free anywhere. I would normally just find a broth that is labeled gluten-free, but my mom is cooking dinner for us and has already begun cooking with this broth. Does anybody use this and can...
  5. Hi Cyclinglady! Thank you so much for your reply. At the moment, I cannot afford to have the testing necessary, so I'm just going to remain gluten-free for the time being. That has sort of been the catch -- I'm not sure if I'm willing to go back to gluten for that long to get the diagnosis. But it would help to be diagnosed, if only to have my family and...
  6. Hi Jmg! Thank you for your response! After being gluten-free for a couple of months now, I find that I am experiencing similar plateaus. Although in my case, I'm not sure how much of that has to do with mistakes on my part (better about sneaky gluten, not super great yet with CC and my sensitivity to it). I wish you the best in your recovery, and I hope that...
  7. Hi Fredo! Wow, what a journey!! I am so glad to hear that you've made such a substantial recovery! My symptoms and issues have been nowhere near as debilitating as your experience, but I can understand the frustration of watching yourself fall apart, knowing that you aren't performing at your best, but not knowing where or why or how any of this could be...
  8. Hi TexasJen! Thank you for sharing your experience! I've been having a similar experience, actually, in noticing problems that I didn't even realize I had (that is until I cut out gluten). The migraines are terrible, and I never noticed that I scratch like all the time! No rash, but constant itching, all day every day, especially on my face and arms. I hope...
  9. Hi FSW! Thank you so much for your response! Funnily, I also find that I have a very difficult time with quinoa, despite the fact that it's gluten-free. Primarily, it makes my stomach hurt, and (not to be gross) it seems that my body basically doesn't digest any of it at all. I wonder why that is!! I wish you the best in your recovery!!
  10. Hello all! I'm fairly new to this community. Although I've been reading many posts on here for a while, this is only my second posting! I am pre-diagnosis, although I am almost 100% certain that I am at least gluten sensitive. Due to time, I'll make another post later on detailing more of my symptoms and my experiences on this crazy journey. Currently on...
  11. Hi all! I'm new to the community, and would love to hear about what I can expect as I enter a new gluten-free life and begin recovery. I understand that everybody's experiences are very different, but I'm interested in hearing a range of experiences. For those of you that had lived a gluten-filled life until diagnosis, what was your experience when you...
