  1. I (65 F) have finally decided that I can no longer stay in my loveless, emotionally abusive marriage and asked my husband for a divorce. On top of Celiac Disease, I also suffer from MECFS and will need some accommodation to live alone. I thought Assisted Living may be a good option. That was until I started talking with a few of them and realized that they...
  2. I wanted to throw out that many Celiacs can't tolerate the caseins in dairy as opposed to the lactose. Once I stopped all dairy and made Ghee to remove the caseins my stomach issues got a lot better. With all the nut milks out there it's really not that hard to avoid dairy. Hope this helps.
  3. I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease 3 years ago. After testing and experimentation, I found that the casein's in dairy and tapioca really bothered me, and really helped my symptoms to eliminate them from my diet. I think it's similar to the AIP diet which includes bone broth, eating liver, not eating any grain or dairy. It was also recommended that I do an elimination diet to find out what other foods bothered me. I know that it's very important to heal your gut as it can...
  5. I thought I had Lyme Disease about three years ago before I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. I had and still have very similar symptoms as you. It was a terribly frustrating process. I just wanted to say that Lyme Disease testing is very inaccurate and you need to make sure you find a lab that specializes in it (Igenix is the one I used). But many doctors...
  6. Victoria1234, when I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease a gluten, dairy, sugar, and alcohol free diet are typically prescribed. My doctor tested me for gluten sensitivity test and I wasn't sensitive so I wasn't always diligent about it. I am now.
  7. Hi, I was sort of diagnosed with a blood test about a month ago. Both my DGP and tTG were very high, (thumbs print away from having Celiac Disease - that's what my dr. said) but I was on a pretty much a gluten free diet for about 2 months prior to the test. I am asymptomatic so once in a while I would take bites out of my husband's pizza or bread but not...
