saw your post while Scrolling for a different topic. If it’s lower left abdominal pain, sharp or dull but comes and goes, see a doctor to rule out diverticulosis. It’s a manageable condition specially if caught early. but if left untreated, it’s possible to go into a flare (call diverticulITIS) which can be dangerous (totally not fear mongering but it is...

Thank you. I’ll try this. Unfortunately Primal kitchen turned out to be a disappointment. Their Allergan statement or lack there of was hidden. I had to do a search for it on their website. It was presented as a vague fake sounding Q&A Pasted here. Q: I have an allergy, is the collagen manufactured in a facility that contains allergens? A: The c...

Hi all. I’ve searched high and low for a certified gluten-free collagen peptide from a company whose allergen statement is clear. Not just the standard “does not include gluten containing ingredients”. I’m super sensitive and need to avoid products that were made in shared facilities. Anyone who can share a trusted brand I would sure appreciate it! I used...

Did Pamela’s change their manufacturing protocol?
Annieoh replied to Annieoh's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Answering my own question and leaivng it here in case other's were as clueless as I was abt Pamela's. After some teeth pulling, here is their 2nd reply (their 1st reply, which sidestepped my questions, also follows): "Annie – The Baking Mixes all continue to be made in a Gluten Free facility. All other Pamela’s Products were made in a gluten free fac... -

Did Pamela’s change their manufacturing protocol?

Although I did see articles from 2019 - 2020 about the company change when I went googling for it yesterday, but saw nothing about their production procedures changing unless I missed it. Should've been doen in bold caps. I always read labels which can get tedious. So in the rare circumstance I find a company who produces only gluten free products with... -
OK, I got really badly gluten bombed recently and am slowly healing from it. In the days leading up to it, I ate absolutely nothing different from what always knew to be safe. It never occurred to me to look at my new box of Pamela‘s graham crackers. I’ve been eating them for years. I looked at the back of the box and was stunned to see the words “Man...

Thank you for posting and sharing that article. Very interesting! This makes a lot of sense. I’m already taking Vit D as my muscle aches made me suspect I was deficient. but I’ve not been diligent. Another good reason to be more committed. Will def research further. Yes I had doubled down on eating only anti inflammatory foods since the glutening along wit...

Help! I'm struggling like I've not in YEARS. The flareup is intense and at this moment, figuring the cause (what the heck did I eat? What could it be? Was it this? Was it this???)is secondary to just getting over it. Feeling desperate. Some background: I figured out my sensitivity to gluten on my own through elimination diets. It came on in my late ...

So angry even though ultimately I know it's up to me but my husband just made me a quick dinner with apple gate chicken nuggets even tho nowhere on the package says "gluten free" and even states clearly "contains wheat"! He said these are the same ones I always eat (Ian's). It didn't occur to me to check him because he's my husband and I have been dealing...

Birth Control Pills Junel Fe?
Annieoh replied to Annieoh's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Oh! Sorry for the late reply, and thank you. -
Hi, I was just prescribed Junel Fe birth control pills (norethindrone acetate and ethinyl estradiol) to manage my hormones during pre-menopause. It's difficult to find any info on the packaging or how to contact the company (can't seem to look that up). I sent a message to my doctor but given that my sensitivity was listed in my chart before she prescribed...

So having done a bit of research (learning to deal with this gluten intolerance is still new to me) I learned that I have to eat differently after getting glutened, doh! Makes perfect sense. So yes, Kareng, I'm now eating cleaner (including staying away from corn chips) for the next few weeks til I get back on track. I guess that's what you meant....

Hi, I've had a particularly bad week even though I have been careful. It's been frustrating trying to find things I'm ok with. My husband just brought home Simply Balanced tortilla chips because he thought they were the ones I trust which are actually O Organices Blue Corn chips with sesame seeds (yum!) I really want to eat these but I'm dubious even though...

Schar gluten free cookies?
Annieoh replied to Annieoh's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Ok just to set the record straight, I tried one more cookie and then another and now half the package is gone so clearly these cookies are not to blame for the reaction I had that day. Still don't know what got me but it wasn't these! -
Schar gluten free cookies?
Annieoh replied to Annieoh's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Thanks for the feedback everyone. I've been gluten free for just over a year and have been pretty good about staying away from processed foods and bread substitutes. I was just really jonesing for my grandma's banana pudding. Zanthan gum, soy and corn don't bother. So Googling the other two things I ate around the same time I only came up with one tiny web... -
Has anyone had a reaction after eating any of the Shär gluten-free cookies? I want to make my grandmas old banana Pudding recipe which calls for Nilla wafers. I got the Shär gluten-free chocolate thins as a substitute. They are delicious but an hour after sampling one I started having major symptoms! The only thing I ate just before this was a pair a...
