  1. When you talk about those drinks with weird named exotic ingredients I wholly agree. Red Bull Energy Drink in Austria on April 1, 1987 has been around and no class action suits I'm aware of. I am not promoting it, just thimk it or something like it might help you. I find it soothes me and my tummy. Just feel better after i drink a can. It's awesome with...
  2. Taurine is called a conditional essential amino acid. Like choline, our bodies make some, but not really enough. Taurine is available as a supplement, but you could probably use the extra calories from the real sugar in Red Bull, anyway.
  3. Try Red Bull. The inclusion of taurine in energy drinks is most likely due to its hypothesized effect on mental and athletic performance. Taurine supplementation has been linked to improved exercise capacity and may therefore help individuals to meet physical goals. It works good for me, but I had to go Keto to get my glucose under control. Even so one night...
  4. Yes, even though blood tests are negative some have positive biopsy and vice versa. Non Celiac Gluten Sensitivity is diagnosed by first ruling out Celiac, and then showing improvement on a gluten free diet, which you have already seen. If you feel better gluten free, then in the end regardless of what doctors say do what makes sense. If gluten hurts you,...
  5. The trials were using supplements ie. lab created, not food.sourced.
  6. I know it is overwhelming. We throw vitamin and minerals at you like fast balls in baseball. Start one, see how it goes and add the next. The vitamin and minerals will improve your compromised immune system, even while eating gluten and waiting for doctors. Rice and Thiamine Deficiency "When the technology for polishing rice became available...
  7. I agree with you that prednisone would ease your symptoms, you may have Adrenal Insuffiency. But BEFORE going that route, Start GFD. My experience was that removing all gluten from my diet, eased all the issues equal to prednisone. Trouble is, I was on prednisone for two years before starting gluten free and as a result have permenent adrenal insufficiency...
  8. As a supplement to gain mass, I would avoid the one called Cookies and Cream for sure. Looks like they use sucralose in other similar products, but the Nutrition and Ingredients tabs for this are empy. That's a red flag to me. Knitty Kitty found it has vitamin A and C. Stay away from synthetic A and betacarotenes as much as you can. Run, don't walk away...
  9. I had to take 30 mg a day to function. I was taking it for two years before discovering gluten and my subsequent malnutrition was the root cause of all 19 of my symptons. It caused me Secondary Adrenal Insufficiency so I need to take maintenance dose for life. While prednisone saved my life, I would have been better off gluten free. But, after starting gluten...
  10. Hi Emonon and welcome. Yes you have malnutrition, from your symptoms most likely you have Celiac Disease. Had it since birth. Were you a colicky baby but "outgrew" it? How soon is your appointment? Celiac Disease causes malabsorption, add to that food avoidance and the western diet has built in defiencies. Can I ask where you live? 4...
  11. ‌Farm-raised salmon are grown in tanks or freshwater enclosures. They are bred to be eaten. Sometimes, they have a different texture and varying nutrients. This is because of the different diets they're given.May 28, 2021 Web MD: Difference Between Wild and Farm-Raised Salmon
  12. Pineapple juice is good. I prefer the fruit fresh, myself. I go on periodic binges with it. It's pretty cheap and available where I live. Since those big fish eat all the small fish in the ocean and collect mercury, I would think farm raised would be mercury free.
  13. Pineapple has Bromelain. Omega 3 Fatty Acid / Bromelain is used for Diet supplement, High triglyceride levels, Adjunct in secondary prevention in heart attack patients, Skin burns, Osteoarthritis, Sinus inflammation after surgery or injury, Muscle relaxant, Muscle contraction stimulant, Antibiotic absorption, Labor shortening and other conditions. How...
  14. "A homocysteine test is a blood test. It measures the amount of homocysteine, an amino acid in the body. The test is often used to diagnose vitamin B6, B9 or B12 [also choline] deficiency. People with elevated homocysteine may have a higher risk for cardiovascular disease. In newborns, homocysteine testing can help diagnose a rare condition called homocystinuria...
  15. Homocysteine levels are not usually done. Normal is around less than 19 deoending on the lab reference range. I am currently at 18. Only god knows what it was in 2014 when I could barely stand for 5 minutes.
  16. People buy fish oils and other omega 3 products and swear it helps with inflammation, joints, etc. It works because it balances the :=6:3 ratio. Cheaper and healthier to lower intake of omega 6 in my opinion. Sweet potato is 17:1. 17. Some have issues with the gums they use in gluten free foods. Though carbohydrate gum is gluten free. You may be reacting to it. Also, folic acid but not folate: Folic Acid and Risk of Prostate Cancer: Results From a Randomized Clinical Trial In conclusion, this clinical trial provides evidence that daily supplementation with 1 mg of folic...
  18. Grain fed meats seem to have a higher omega 6 to 3 ratio. Optimum is 1:1. The SAD diet most westerners eat can be as high as 20:1. Omega 6 causes inflammation. Ever check your Homocystein level? It is an independant indicator of cardiovascular inflammation? One report by the American Pastured Poultry Producers Association found that among pastured chickens...
  19. As Frank Robinson said in 1973, "Close don't count in baseball. Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades." Add to that "and Celiac Disease". What the doctors diagnose you with doesn't help. Gluten Free does. To me it's a no-brainer. Keep in mind that wheat products are fortified because otherwise the general public will have deficiencies...
  20. By the way, do you know your vitamin D blood plasma? Vitamin D and the Immune System There have been multiple cross-sectional studies associating lower levels of vitamin D with increased infection.
  21. I believe it is poor fat digestion from not absorbing choline or simply not eating enough. Gall bladder needs choline to make bile. Most of the western countries have low choline intake (liver, eggs, beef) from misguided attempt to control cholesterol in the '70s and the Paxlovid somehow compounds it?
  22. I've been using zinc gluconate lozenges (Cold-Eeze) and have not had a cold or sinus infection since starting in 2004. Until then I had two or three a year, almost like on schedule.
  23. Regarding cancer: Iodine intake in the US is half what it was in 1970 and cancer rates have doubled. That began with the Atomic Age, led by The Wolff-Chaikoff Effect.
