They did blood test to check her for pernicious animea. intrinsic factor AB which was negative Prietal cell AB this was a 29.6 So not sure how to understand these numbers

Thanks so much for replying, it helps to talk to someone who knows more about this than we do at this point. She also has pernicious anemia so I wondered would that effect the villi. Her GI hasn't been very helpful just called and gave me the diagnosis and said follow up with her family doctor. Who said she would have to read up on it. Not very comforting...

She did not have blood work, and no-one has mentioned to me that we should get tested. I've had trouble getting any direction about what medical steps she or I should be taking. Does you Gi doctor monitor this situation or your family practitioner?

Hi, My daughter just got diagnosed with celiac disease and it caught us completely by surprise. Hi, My daughter was recently diagnosed with Celiac disease. Which was something that took us by surprise. The only symptom she had was low iron levels.
