  1. Apparently the "just deny it" resolution stuck.
  2. Didya see the weather report in Elvish? Pretty cool in a nerdly, sci-fi-fan sort of way....
  3. When you're on stage the lights are in your eyes and you really can't see past the first two rows. Just put yourself in charge of seating so's you can set the stage for a great audience look.
  4. I got nuthin Showed up and the padlock was already on. Drat that thread-pulling admin guy anyway. I'm sure there was a pair o' shoes or sumpin' I really needed.

  7. Welp, only one baby. I think the other eggs are toast as she is taking the wee fuzzball out for long walks around the pen and the other eggs are cold. The best hatch I got was by locking her in the cage with her own food and water, so I suppose I may do that if I ever really want more demanding balls of fluff. Had a fab Tgiving. Mom's gluten-free, dairy...
  8. Yes. Clearly a lame duck has either a left- or right-wing injury.
  9. I don't think the semantics are relevant here. You got sick. You identified the situation that made you sick. I'm guessing you will avoid such situations in the future. In the end, it doesn't matter what anyone else says, or does. You are responsible for your health, and you seem willing to take that responsibility seriously. You're doing the right...
  10. I had a similar experience while traveling in Eastern Europe. I accidentally ate gluten three times while traveling and never had a reaction. I assumed that my reaction to wheat is more than just gluten, and the protein makeup of wheat grown in Europe was sufficiently different that I didn't react to it. The problem with buying imported flours is that...
  11. Bottom line, if it bothers you - don't drink it. If you are super sensitive, or early in the gluten-free process, you might want to avoid drinking in general, or at least some of the wines others have had issue with. You can test specifics for yourself, when you're up for it.
  12. mmmmmm blackberry shortcake...
  13. Rumor has it that Canada will be sending down some cooler air pretty soon. I opted for peanut butter and jelly rice cakes.
  14. I'm thinking ice cream. It's a blazing 79 degrees here, so maybe I'll add some fruit and run it through the blender for a smoothie.
  15. ooh, a vegetable. If I put pumpkin caramel sauce over vanilla ice cream does that count?
  16. potato chicken salad made with leftover BBQ chicken and fresh eggs.
  17. ah. Thought you went and did sumpin' without telling us. Carry on.
  18. I'm not a chit-chat person so I just stop posting when threads turn to that. I had baked tortillas with salsa and mushrooms
  19. Grilled T-bones with sauteed mushrooms, potatoes.
  20. It's ok, cooking is not that difficult, once you get the hang of it. All you need are a few good 'go-to' recipes to cover most your bases.
  21. fajitas, using corn tortillas
  22. These look like crackers? Made of corn, rice, potato, etc. I don't see any sugar, so something like a saltine? Maybe Glutino crackers?
